Burbage Police Weekly Update. Tools/Vans, Suspicious Persons And Christmas Market. |
||
|
Hello Resident,
We hope you are well. Here is an update regarding crime and Police activity in Burbage this week.
Reported Crime and Appeals
Two reports of attempted breaks to vans on the Hinckley Island hotel car park. It appears these incidents occurred between 05:30-06:15 on the morning of the 26th of November.
Reports of suspicious behaviour in areas such as De La Bere Crescent and Britannia Road. No reports of crime. There was also a report from West Close at around 04:45 on the morning of the 25th. If you have any CCTV in the area and spot a white van, please get in touch. LEP-251125-0008 Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
Officers in the area completed a vehicle and person stop check/search on Brookside. The male was detained and as a result, a small quantity of drugs was found.
A stolen vehicle that was abandoned in Burbage was also recovered by officers. If you see a vehicle “dumped”, feel free to pop me an email with the registration so we can complete some initial checks and visit the area if needed. If you have immediate concerns, please call 101.
Since our last report, we have received 35 calls to Police. 7 of these calls were emergency and 7 were priority. A lot of these calls were either domestic related, or transport related.
We are completing work with HBBC around issues such as neighbour disputes and also making efforts to increase CCTV at key locations which are of concern for issues such as drugs and anti-social behaviour.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
Whilst reports of residential burglary and vehicle related crime have dropped off this week (thankfully), PLEASE continue to be mindful around your home and vehicle security. We will be at the Burbage Christmas market on Windsor Street (outside Skyway House) between 16:00-22:00 on Friday 28th. Please pop along if you would like any support with security. Items sold at cost.
Thank you and take care.
